Holy Trinity Church Tower

The more observent of you may have noticed that the church clock stopped many months ago, and we no longer hear the chimes of the church bell.

Due to old age, and an infestation of squirrels, the current clock mechanism is beyond repair, and will need to be replaced. The bell cannot be rung, as the wooden frame that holds it in place is rotten.

Additional to this, the tower itself needs some refurbishment both inside and out.

The exact figure to restore the clock, bell and tower depends on the contractor, and when we can get the work done. At the moment we estimate between £40-45,000.

The Parochial Church Council (PCC) and the Friends of Holy Trinity are both raising funds towards this work (as well as other jobs around the Church and grounds) and have already raised a considerable amount.

But as you can see, we are still in need of extra funds.

If you feel you can help, please contact either the PCC or the Friends of Holy Trinity.
